Cosmetic Dentist Prices

Cosmetic dentist prices depend on the amount and type of cosmetic work you need. If the dentist uses expensive materials and high-quality lab facilities, then it will be more expensive. The reasons for the great variation in costs among expert cosmetic dentists are level of skill and artistry and the time used in hard restorations. Many cosmetic dentists offer free consultations.

Cosmetic dentists include oral surgeons, periodontists, endodontists, orthodontists, and prosthetic dental laboratories. They provide many types of services such as porcelain veneers, revitalizing cosmetic dentistry, bridges, fresh breath treatment metal-free fillings, tooth whitening, crowns, and instant orthodontics. Some cosmetic dentists charge special prices for tooth whitening, exams, cleanings, and sports mouth guards.

Most cosmetic dentists charge less than 0 for initial whitening. When whitening and all preliminary processes are completed, they use porcelain veneers to arrange the teeth. Depending on the area of the country, the cost for this procedure varies from 5 per veneer to 00. If the teeth are not strong enough to hold veneers, porcelain crowns are applied.

Tooth bleaching is the initial step to establish whitest natural shade. Most aesthetic patients prefer this to get their natural teeth. Its charge is ranging from 0 to 0. The price of cosmetic tooth contouring is between 0 and ,500. Cosmetic dentist prices increases with the number of cosmetic dental procedures performed.

Some patients select full or limited orthodontics with conventional braces. The price for this varies between ,000 and ,000. The cost of white fillings for back teeth depends on the number of surfaces covered by the fillings. For a one-surface filling, prices range from 0 to 0. For two surfaces, it is 0 to 0. For three surfaces, the cost is from 0 to 0. The price for bonding a front tooth varies from 0 to 00. The cost for invisible braces ranges from 00 to 00 for a complete case.

What is Orthognathic Surgery and How Can it Help Improve Facial Deformities

Orthognathic surgery combines maxillofacial surgery or jaw surgery with orthodontics. The ideals of this type of surgery are to improve one's bite and make chewing easier. The surgeries done are designed to correct misalignment of the jaw and make the jaw fit together properly. Facial imbalances such as an underbite, overbite or cleft palate can be corrected using orthognathic surgery. Orthodontics are used to correct malocclusions of the teeth and to improve gummy smiles, where large areas of gums are showing when a person smiles. TMJ disease can be corrected or prevented using orthognathic jaw surgery. Patients who have jaw problems that can't be treated with orthodontics alone have orthognathic surgery to correct the jaw abnormality so the teeth work properly.

Surgery on the upper jaw is called a maxillary osteotomy and surgery on the lower jaw is called a mandibular osteotomy. A patient can have one or both of these surgeries at the same time in order to correct the alignment of the upper and lower jaw and to improve the functionality of the upper and lower jaw. The surgery is generally done using incisions inside the mouth so that there is no external scarring visible.

The term "orthognathic surgery" was first coined by Dr. Harold Hargis, a Doctor of Dentistry. He was the first to consider cleft palate as part of orthognathic surgery. The surgery is used to treat dental problems that can't be treated with orthodontic treatments alone. Bones are cut and re-aligned and then held in place as part of the surgery using screws, plates or screws.

The various indications for orthognathic surgery include the following:

Discrepancies between the upper and lower jaw alignment, which can be vertical, transverse or antero-posterior Facial skeletal abnormalities that result in airway problems, sleep apnea or soft tissue problems TMJ pathology that causes facial skeletal discrepancies.

Orthognathic surgery is done by an oral and maxillofacial surgery specialist or a craniofacial surgery specialist and is aided by an orthodontist who straightens and aligns the teeth. Braces are often placed before the surgery and after the surgery are complete. There are retainers used as well, often after the braces are completed and removed. Orthognathic surgery is also a part of repairing cleft lips and cleft palates. The orthodontist and the orthognathic surgeon work together to align the bite and teeth.

The surgeon who does the surgery needs to have training in dentistry as well. Oral and maxillary surgery specialists are often trained in dental procedures so they can identify what is a normal bite and how to achieve one. This allows the maxillofacial surgery specialist to work best in conjunction with the orthodontist to achieve the best in a normal bite.

It requires a great deal of planning by a multidisciplinary team. Sometimes a speech and language therapist is included along with the maxillofacial surgery specialist and the orthodontist. There may need to be molds of the face created so the anatomy of the person's face is well understood and the surgery can be planned. X-rays need to be taken as well as photographs and software exists that can predict how the person will look after the proposed surgical procedure. The patient can see what he or she will look like after the procedure is over with.

The primary goal of orthognathic surgery is to get a normal bite and a face that looks as pleasant as possible. The airway may need to be enlarged. In fact, orthognathic surgery can correct obstructive sleep apnea in 90 to 100 percent of cases. Both the upper and lower jaws may need surgery in order to enlarge the airway. A nasal tube is used to intubate the patient because the mouth needs to be easily accessed. Bones are cut for greater patency of the airway and the individual can breathe more easily in their sleep.

How to Run a Successful Dental Practice

I recently interviewed Dr. Scott Olson, a dental professional in Springfield, Missouri. I wanted to find out how he runs his practice and what has worked best for him in the areas of staffing, finance, marketing, and operations.

Staff:

Q: What methods do you use to find competent staff members??

A: A strategy that has worked well for me is to hire students from local colleges that require students to complete an internship program at a dental office as a part of their education. The intern program not only gives the students hands-on experience, but it also gives me the opportunity to assess their skill level and passion for dentistry.

Q: Every practice has their own way of doing things. How do you get your staff acclimated to your business philosophy after they've been hired?

A: Aside from the Dental Assistant program mentioned above, we provide all new staff members with a detailed employee manual, which they are required to read and sign. The manual specifically outlines our policies, best practices, and procedures for treating patients with care.

Q: How often do you perform periodic reviews of your staff?

A: I am a firm believer in maintaining a dialogue with my staff. That's why I not only conduct an annual review with my staff. I also ask them to evaluate me and how I can improve. The feedback from the two-way review is incredible. It has helped bring our practice to a higher level of care.

Financial:

Q: You've made the decision to keep your overhead low by leasing a space in a strip center. Many other dentists have incurred a lot of overhead by locating in expensive buildings. Do you think you've come out ahead by adopting this strategy and have you thought about relocating or adding another location?

A: Although I've considered relocating the practice to a high-profile location, I'm glad I made the initial decision to keep my overhead to a minimum while still providing a comfortable environment for my patients. It has allowed me to save money and alleviates a lot of stress during lower volume periods. Dentists with high overhead usually feel the pinch during slower economic times.

Q: There are many ratios that dental professionals use to gauge the effectiveness of their practice. Which ones are most important to you?

A: The most important statistic to me is the number of new patients we treat each month because that is the foundation of our future growth. I always monitor our results to determine the age, sex, and location of the new patients which helps me better target my marketing efforts. Collections-to-total-production is another ratio I keep my eye on. When that number is greater than one, I find out why.

Q: At the beginning of each year, do you and your staff set goals for the upcoming year in the areas of revenues, profits, and patient counts?

A: We shut down the office for a day in early January to discuss ways we can improve efficiency, skill levels, and patient satisfaction. We believe that if we can improve the practice in those areas, the revenues and profits will ultimately follow.

Q: Do you typically lease or buy your equipment and how often do you upgrade?

A: To this point, I have purchased all of the equipment I use in the practice. However, there is some exciting new technologies on the horizon that I'm considering such as a new generation of digital x-ray equipment and crown fabrication. I'll likely lease the new equipment I acquire because of the many advantages of that form of financing.

Q: How do you set your fee schedule and how does it compare with other practices in the area?

A: Our prices are not the cheapest in town, nor are they the most expensive. When I set prices, I look at the amount of time it takes me to complete each procedure as well as the associated labor, supplies, and overhead costs. I then set the price to achieve what I believe to be an equitable return on investment.

Marketing/Advertising:

Q: What advertising methods do you use to reach new patients and which ones are more effective?

A: We always ask each new patient how they heard about us, which helps us track the effectiveness of all our marketing efforts. Referrals have been a major part of our new business the past two years. We offer a rewards program in which we grant the referring patient a gift card and the new patient a discount off the cost of their initial visit. This is a major reason why we have gotten more new business from word of mouth referrals than any other means. Yellow Pages have also been instrumental in getting new business.

Q: You have continually upgraded your skills by attending classes and seminars that teach cutting edge techniques and procedures. Do you emphasize the new skills you've learned in your marketing?

A: First, attending classes and seminars that teach new techniques energizes me tremendously. I'm always excited about coming back and applying what I've learned. As for marketing, it's difficult to present in an advertisement how continuing education can be beneficial. That's why I carefully explain the newly learned procedures to the patient while they're in my office.

Operations:

Q: There is a wide variance in the quality of dental supplies and solutions. How do you decide which products to use?

A: I am very particular about which products I use and it's important to make sure an adequate amount of independent research has been performed. I'm bombarded with solicitations for all kinds of products and most of the "research' is from the company. That's not good enough. I only use what has been proven to work.

Q: When a patient checks in, are they brought in to the exam room quickly?

A: Our goal is to bring a patient to the exam room within five minutes after check in. Needless to say, there are situations that arise which cause delays, but most of the time we achieve that goal because we value our patient's time.

Q: When a patient comes in for a check up and you've found a problem outside the normal realm of a cavity that requires extensive work, how do you articulate the problem to the patient without using a lot of jargon?

A: The phrase "a picture is worth a thousand words" definitely applies here. When I show a patient pictures of how a cavity that is left untreated causes damage to the nerve, they get it. I do my best to make them understand what will likely happen if they do nothing, as opposed to the outcome if they choose treatment.

Q: For those patients who are on a strict budget, do you offer some type of self pay financing plan that will allow them to make monthly payments for large balances?

A: We offer an excellent self-pay financing program through Care Credit. One feature of this program is that the balance is interest-free if paid within one year. The payments can be stretched out to five years. We also offer an in-house 90 day same as cash option. We can usually find a way to make the financing work for our patients.

Q: Like any business, developing relationships with customers is critical to long-term success. What steps do you take to establish a dialogue with your patients?

A: That is a hot-button issue for me. Although our goal is to increase volume, I refuse to compromise the relationship with our patients. I make it a priority to spend an adequate amount of time not only on treatment, but to address the patient's concerns, and educate them on things they can do to improve their dental health.

Three Phases of Value-Added Meetings

To accomplish valuable work during a meeting, the meeting should follow the three phases that a meeting goes through. These are opening the meeting, accomplishing the primary purpose, and closing the meeting.

Opening the meeting includes taking a few minutes to review and agree to the meeting purpose and agenda. This lets everyone know and understand the key objective for the meeting and the time allotments for group action necessary to accomplish the objective. Make sure the agenda is visible throughout the meeting to keep group on track. Primary is the actual work time during the meeting. On the agenda, this phase is indicated by items listed with most important item to accomplish first so you are sure it gets done. If the important item requires some data or discussion first, then each step in the process will be listed with the estimated time to accomplish it. If decisions are to be made after a presentation or discussion, the type of decision making method needs to be written in the agenda. Since the agenda is visible to the group, use it to check off action items as completed in the meeting. This will keep the group motivated to continue working on the meeting purpose. It will also keep anyone from having to stop to catch up people who are late or had to step out for a portion of the meeting. Closing of the meeting takes some minutes to review what was accomplished, assign outside actions, and do a meeting evaluation with the group. If another follow-up meeting is planned, creating a tentative agenda and setting a possible date for that meeting will be in this phase.

Utilizing an agenda and following the meeting phases of opening, primary, and closing will make the accomplishment of work during a meeting be more productive and therefore increase the value of the time spent.

The Seduction of a Married Man

What is it about a married man that is so irresistible?

It must be something because so many women fall for it. Just this week I encountered two women who have slipped into the trap of fatal attraction for a married man. It is dangerous territory and I do not recommend that anyone go there. I speak from experience having invested part of my life in a relationship with a married man. Iam not writing about this subject to lecture or be judgmental or even to speak from my soapbox about what I know that you don't. My intention is to expose the underhanded tactics, even if unintentional, of men and the naiveté of women that permits these relationships to flower.

What is it about women that make them susceptible to the charm and attraction of an unavailable man?

The unavailable man is very attractive to women who do not want to be controlled by a man. He can provide sporadic attention, sex, usually at regular intervals, definitely advice even when you don't ask for it and gifts. You don't have to live with him, which means no snoring, picking up after him, and usually freedom to comeand go as you please. The disadvantages include limited spontaneity, lack of availability on weekends and holidays and never being his number one priority.

This is not to say that men do not fall for married women. I am
certain that the statistics will support that almost as many single men fall for married women but the dynamic between themis much different than that of the single woman and the married man. Obviously, I have more experience with the married man syndrome.

Women in general are used to getting seconds.

What I mean by that is that women choose to settle for less than
what they want. Okay, I expect outrage from most of you who are
reading this but hear me out, please. In this country, men have the power. Look around you, how many women president's do we have? How many in the Senate, Congress, CEO's of Fortune 500 companies? How many women make as much money as men do? Consider teaching and nursing, two professions primarily occupied by women, what percentage of men are in the profession and what percentage ofthose are in charge? How many men choose to stay home with thchildren while their wives work and support the family? You get the idea. Granted there are many more women in positions of authority, in medicine, the law, entrepreneurs, real estate, finance, business than ever before, but if you are going to be honest with yourself, it's still a man's world. This is okay.

We can live with the fact that men run the world, because women run relationships.

Women, you really are in charge of relationship even if you don't know it. You just need to raise the bar a little on what youexpect from your relationship. What I mean by women being used to settling is they don't ask. Let me give you an example. A woman friend of mine works for a big company; she uses her own computer and pays for her own Internet access even though the majority of her computer usage is for her work activities. She has asked the men who run the company to be reimbursed for the cost of her computer andInternet access and has been denied. Her first inclination was to accept this, until she realized: How many men who use a computer in their job, use their own computer let alone pay for their Internet access? Men expect to be provided with the tools that they need to do their job, women provide their own tools and accept it when they are denied reimbursement. Where does this willingness to be used originate? I think that it originated when women first began to invade the workplace. Women weren't greeted with open arms when they first arrived in the workplace. In order to be accepted, they worked twice as hard, longer hours, tolerated abuse in many ways that a man never would and were eager to please, seeking approval and acceptance by over responding. (Actually, women were welcomed in the workplace during World War II but only because men weren't available. When the men returned, the women were expected to go back home where they belonged.)

Much of women's acceptance of second-class treatment is their own fault, because they don't even ask for it to be different.

Okay, I am a little off the subject of married men, but let me
follow this through to the connection. Let's look at a wife. The
majority of wives work these days, they also are the primary
childcare provider, and most of them do most of the housework and laundry and cooking and shopping as well. They are also expected by their husbands to be sexy and ready for a quickie at the drop of his pants. Women do all this because they put these standards on themselves. They still expect that they have to do more and do it better because they are women. So where does a woman cut back? Usually it is in paying attention to her husband's primary needs. A man needs sex and most married men will tell you that the amount of sex that they get dwindles after marriage and especially after children. In addition, the amount of time that a woman has to devote to the nurturing, acceptance, approval and attention to her husband decreases proportionately with the addition of children, job responsibilities and a bigger house.

So this leads us to the plight of the married man.

Who is the married man? First of all he is a man. Men are results oriented. Men have a lot of testosterone. They aren't good at deciphering what women want, especially their own wives. The married man used to run his own life. He came and went as he pleased; he watched or played baseball whenever he wanted. He lived his own lifestyle. He could have his woman withhim whenever hewanted and she would pay all of her attention to him. Now he is marriedwith a couple of kids, a mortgage, a job he has because it pays themost, not because he loves it so much and a wife who used to cater to him exclusively who now has to divide her time between him, the kids, the house and usually her job. There was a commercial on TV not too long ago that shows a man thinking about his studly single days and how sexy he was in those days, with a child in a stroller. He is playing with his child and shopping in the grocery store and a woman is talking to her friend who comments he doesn't even know how much more attractive he is now than he was when he was a stud.

Men are pretty unconscious about what makes them attractive.

According to most women it is not their looks that make them
attractive, it is who they are and how they produce in the world. So this married man goes to work and comes home and goes back to work the next day. At work there is this woman. She is single, attractive, smart, capable, speaks his language andsomeone who has time to pay attention to him. It starts as an innocent flirtation. What goes through his mind is something like "Let's see if I still have it!" so he starts flirting just to see what happens. Not a surprise, she responds to the flirting by flirting back.

This is the beginning of the affair.

In his mind he is flattered, it is fun, and exciting and just a
little bit naughty. What could be more harmless? I'm married.I'm
safe. I can just have a little fun with this. So it continues. He
thinks he can just experiment a little. Let's see how charming and creative I can be. Let's see if I can get this woman to fall for me. In his mind it is not cheating. He hasn't done anything wrong. In the beginning, he even tells his wife about this woman. He tells her about how smart she is or about some accomplishment, usuallywhat made him notice her in the firstplace. Wives usually miss the first clues. The thought of the effect of his harmless flirtation onthe single woman does not even enter his consciousness. So the harmless flirtation continues. It makes the married man feel good. He is happier at home and everything seems hunky dory. He tells the woman his wife doesn't understand him, she doesn't have time for him, or she just is cruel to him and the other woman becomes his confidant and starts to believe that he really has no choice in the matter. He needs her because his wife is so ... whatever.

He now has both a wife and family and a woman on the side.

Recognize that this process may take several years and several
different women before anything actually happens in the way of an
affair. After several years of living a separate life from his wife while they live under the same roof, a married man is ready for a real affair. The reality is that an affair will occur whether it is an emotional or physical affair or even a cyber affair. No matter which way it goes, what occurs takes away from the married relationship.

What is true about the woman who gets involved with a married man is that she is looking for attention and affection.

Most likely she is not looking for a married man with whom she is plotting to have an affair. There are a few predatory women out there who do just that but the majority of affairs start out
naively. She is likely to have been previously hurt in a
relationship. She may or may not know that the man is married. What occurs first is she recognizes that he is paying attention to her. He may just listen to her. It may just be a momentary encounter where their eyes meet and a connection is made. They may be working together on a project and either of them may distinguishthemselves in some way. What initially happens is likely to be chemistry. What happens after that varies, however, it usually follows this pattern.

When the woman discovers that he is married, she will make it clear that she doesn't have relationships with married men.

That is the signal for the man to go into conquest mode.

He will pursue her possibly for years because he enjoys the chase. She will continue to refuse his advances as long as she cantolerate it or until he catches her at a weak and vulnerable moment. If she has a good relationship in her life, chances areshe can outlast him, but if she is single, available or married and unhappy, she will eventually succumb. Why? Because the man is so charming, heis wonderful, he is a knight in shining armor, he is a hero, he is this wonderful dedicated family man who is wonderful with his children and attentive to his wife. So the woman asks herself what is she doing?

She continues to say no and the more she says no, the more
aggressive and charming and attentive he gets. This is the ultimate male challenge, to win over a woman who is saying no even though he knows she really is attracted to him.

A married man will work harder than any available man to make a
woman fall in love with him.

He will be more charming, loving, attentive and wonderful than a
woman can imagine that any man can be. So what happens next is this woman who finally surrenders to her feelings for this man, asks him to leave his wife for her. The response from him will almost inevitably be one of two, but I'm married and I'll neverleave my wife or yes, I'll leave my wife, but not yet (she's not ready,my children are too young, I can't afford it yet, my mother won't approve etc.) Initially the woman will respond with anger. "If you love your wife what are you doing with me?" Here is the clincher that finally hooks the woman, he is committed to his wife and the woman buys into his honorable dedication to his wife and thinks if only I could have a man who loves me like that.

It is at this point in their relationship that the woman's final act of settling may occur.

Either she will end it and go off to nurse her broken heart,
wondering how he could have been so wonderful and such a heel atthe same time, or she will continue the affair and settle forbeing the other woman in his life. Either way the woman is damaged. The man will go back to his wife who was either completely unaware of the romantic drama or who also chooses to settle by living in denial of his infidelity. Then life goes on.

The other woman plays a significant part in the perpetuation of this man's marriage.

She makes it tolerable for him to remain in an intolerable
situation. She makes it possible for him to remain in a marriage
that doesn't satisfy him. That marriage situation can range from
boredom to outright contempt, but a man won't leave his marriage
until his wife has dismissed him, either consciously or
unconsciously. She makes it possible for him to deny that there is anything missing in his relationship with his wife. Therefore, the wife wins, if you can call it winning to stay ina relationship with a cheating man.

The purpose in discussing this at all is to emphasize the fact that women settle and men will cheat because they can. So, women, if you want your man to be faithful, you must pay attention and never settle for less than what you want no matter what the cost.

The essence of marriage is commitment. Why get married if you are not willing to commit to loving someone exclusively? The way that I see it, you don't have to get married to be together, so why do it if you don't mean it? I was married for 23 years and was strongly in favor of the concept of a renewable marriage license, similar tohow one renews a driver's license. The point of that beingthat at least very 3 or 4 years people who were married to each otherwould have to take a look at whether they still wanted to be with their spouse. If people were honest about their feelings, it certainly would take a chunk out of the 50% divorce rate.

On a more serious note, however, I really don't see any point in
getting married unless you are marrying someone with whom youhave sexual chemistry that you love totally, that you trust implicitly, and that you would rather be with than anyone else who alsofeels the same about you. That feeling of total trust isvery rare and itneeds to be nurtured. It's also good if you have similar values and goals in life. If and when you find someone that meets all ofthe above standards, you probably couldn't imagine wanting to bewith anyone else. That spiritual bond can be so strong andso valid that it would be out of the realm of possibility to violate it.

It is impossible to ever have that kind of trust if you enter a
relationship that originated with someone cheating.

So what happens to destroy that original bond? It is the woman'sjob to provide the appetite for pleasure and the direction for therelationship. This does not relieve men of any responsibility for it is their job to surrender to their woman's power and to produce results for her based on what she requests. So, in a relationship that is working the woman must continue to raise the bar for her man and believe in him. What does that mean? That she wants a bigger house, more expensive car, more children? Not necessarily although thosethings may be part of the picture. What it does mean is that she raises the standards of paying attention even when life is busy. It means that they make time for sex even when they don't have time. It meansthat each one of them stay vulnerable with each other even whenhe/she has done something that embarrasses them or is wrong.

In my marriage, I did it all wrong. I doubted his production,
thought I could do things better than him and lost my ability to
believe in him. When that happened, he quit producing for me and we spiraled downward into total mistrust of each other and
unwillingness to be vulnerable. I kept settling for less than what I asked for and he kept producing only what I believed he could produce. I just didn't know any better.

It's a fragile bond that must be protected and as far as I can see what will protect the bond of love is a woman expressing her
appetite that requests more than the man thinks he can produce and then even more vital is that she approves of him and believes in him until he produces it. The most significant element of maintaining a love relationship that works is that both parties must pay attention to each other and to what is happening in the relationship. Going to doubt or settling for less than what she wants is the beginning of the destruction of the delicate balance of the man/woman relationship. In this model of relationship, men and women are regarded as different entities with different needs. It relies on using the sex act as the metaphor for relationship, symbolizing men as producers and women as receivers.

There are no victims.

Dental Professionalism

What does it take to become a professional? Simple. Know the rules.

Professionals have rules to follow, and these rules are the reason why some people are called "experts". In the world of dentistry, there is what we call proper "etiquette" or protocol to be followed. For those of you who have been dreaming of becoming a dentist someday like a dentist in Newport Beach, you have to know the rules and regulations first of ethical dentistry. The code and ethics of dentistry is a must to remember before practicing the career.

• You must know the SOP or standard operating procedure to prevent incidental reports like unprofessionalism, misconduct and others.
• Take the board exam for dentistry. It is the single most important unit that would evaluate and determine the incoming dentist if he/she passed the basic and main procedures of dentistry.
• Take proper pre-cautions when dealing with patients. If you would look at a dentist in Newport Beach, you would perceive them as very compassionate workers, and it's because they take good care of their patients by showing good moral values.
• Some people have their own culture and traditions, like for example Africans. There is a tradition in Africa that they have to scalp the teeth with a hammer and mini-axe. This serves as tribe tradition in identity casting.
• Practice confidentiality in all patients; do not give any patient's record to other people. You have to be professional when it comes to work.
• Avoid mistakes like prescriptions, wrong diagnosis, and mistaken results because your credibility is at risk.
• You must follow the rules and regulations of the International Association for Dental Research (IADR).
• When using dental instruments, use it carefully to avoid accidents.

Over the years, dentists have offered unselfish service to people. Their professional reputation has been excellent (although there were accusations of dentists favoring profit over service). Dentistry is a profession, a vocation. It must center on patients and service and never on the business side. (i.e. if you want to be a reputable dentist in Newport Beach). Hence, dental professionalism must be practiced at all times.

Cleaning Your Washing Machine

Is cleaning your washing machine important? It certainly is! The inside of your washing machine is constantly being subjected to dirty water, mineral deposits, detergent deposits, and if you launder cloth diapers it is especially important to keep your machine clean and in tip-top condition. Much like dishwashers, sinks and bathtubs get dirty even though they are meant to clean things, your washing machine can become a mess in no time. Though, most dirt and soil is washed out with the water, dirt, soap residue and other unidentifiable grungy objects can be left behind and you actually have to get rid of this dirt yourself. Every time you wash your clothes, hard water and detergents cause build up to accumulate also, inside the tub, pump and hoses. This build-up reduces the ability of your washing machine to perform and mineral build-up can be abrasive to your cloths and diapers you are washing, causing them to wear faster. Cleaning your machine eliminates these problems.

First, run a cycle of hot water along with two cups of vinegar or lemon juice to loosen up soap and grime. Remove the fabric softener receptacle and soak it in hot water and detergent. Clean the bleach dispenser with a spray cleaner and paper towels and Q-tips. Don't forget to clean the top rim of the wash bucket as it is up and under where it can't usually be seen easily and becomes dirty. Run the washer empty on a hot cycle one more time.

While this is going on you check all your hoses for leaks. Over time, the water hoses that came with your unit may leak or burst. It's a good preventive maintenance practice to check these hoses from time to time for any sign of wear or weakness. Most manufacturers recommend replacing the hoses every 5 years. Make sure your hoses are not a disaster waiting to occur!

Once you've soaked the fabric softener receptacle, replace it and polish up the outside of your washing machine with vinegar and a cloth towel. Your washing machine now looks better and will run better as well!

Happy washing!

Throat Phlegm Caused by Tonsil Stones?

There are a variety of causes for throat phlegm build-up, one of which involves problems with the tonsils, the areas of lymphoid tissue on each side of the back of the throat. Tonsils act as part of the body's immune system and their job is to help ward off infections, particularly upper respiratory infections.

Occasionally, the tonsils themselves can become infected and tonsillitis can develop. This can be a result of either a virus or bacteria in the throat. Sometimes, people develop tonsil stones on the back of the tongue or throat. These are small, whitish bumps that can be popped and are caused by bacteria building up in the pockets of the tonsils, often resulting in sore throats, throat phlegm, earaches, bad breath, and coughing.

Many times, tonsil stones can be treated by expressing them with a Q-tip or using pulsating jets of water to remove them. In more severe cases, the tonsils themselves can be surgically removed in a relatively routine procedure.

Throat phlegm, or mucus, is made by the cells which line the nasal passage, and its purpose is to trap tiny particles, such as dust, and keep them from entering a person's breathing system. Normal phlegm is clear and thin, whereas green, yellow, or grayish mucus can indicate an infection as a result of bacteria that has been trapped in the throat. Excess amounts of throat phlegm can lead to difficulty breathing or swallowing, coughing, and sore throat, and a checkup by a general physical is recommended.

5 Things Bad Boys Do In The Bedroom That Make Women Addicted To Sex - And How You Can Copy Them

In this article you will discover 5 things bad boys do in the bedroom that make women addicted to sex. Copy these things bad boys do and you'll make your woman addicted to your lovemaking.

NOTE: Just remember not to behave like a bad boy outside of the bedroom because they tend to treat women poorly (which is not a good thing).

So, with that little warning over, here are...

5 Ways To Be A Bad Boy In The Bedroom And Blow Your Woman's Mind

1. Take Charge And Be A Real Man

Women like strong, sexually confident men. Bad boys are those kinds of guys.

To demonstrate to your woman that you are strong and sexually confident, you must lead your woman in the bedroom.

Real men lead in the bedroom, whereas weak men expect their women to take the lead.

2. Use Your Voice

For women, sex is very mental. You must stimulate your woman's mind in order to sexually satisfy her and give her ORGASMS.

To stimulate her mind in the bedroom, do what bad boys do and talk dirty.

3. Make The Sex Different Every Time

Many women end up bored of the sex that they have with their man.

That's why they often stop wanting to have sex, or they look elsewhere for it. "Yes", some women do cheat.

One thing bad boys do well is that they make the sex interesting, exciting and fun every time. They do this by making it different every time. If you want to keep your woman loyal and satisfy her, you should do the same.

4. Be Dominant

Ninety-nine percent of women are sexually submissive.

Now that you know that fact, use dominance to 'blow your woman's mind' in the bedroom and get her turned on, hot and wet for you in a way you never thought possible.

Here's an example of being dominant that your woman will love (don't read this if you are easily shocked - but please carry on if you want to be a real man who is able to please any woman in the bedroom)...

- Whilst doing your woman from behind, doggy style:

grab her hair, spank her ass and talk dirty to her.

Try saying this to her:

"Baby, you love it when I'm inside you and I take you from behind"

If you've never done anything like this before, I fully understand that you might be a little worried about trying it.

BUT...

Real men take risks and real men know how to satisfy their women. Intelligent, emotionally healthy women love it when their man is dominant. So you must BE DOMINANT in the bedroom.

5. Give Her Orgasms

30% of women have never had an orgasm.

70% of women have never had a vaginal orgasm (most women are dependent on their clitoris being stimulated in order for them to come).

Clearly most men are clueless in the bedroom.

Bad boys on the other hand, are often great in the bedroom because they give their women the best orgasms of their lives.

Do whatever you have to do - just make sure you are giving your woman orgasms. Your woman needs orgasms.

Use these 5 things that bad boys do to take your 'bedroom skills' up a notch and put a huge smile on your woman's face - she needs, craves and wants you to do all these things. Period.

How to Care For Braces and Get the Best Results From Orthodontics

Having an orthodontist put braces on your teeth isn't the end of the world. It is a great way to get a beautiful smile. While having braces shouldn't affect your daily life too much, there are certain restrictions that will prevent the braces from becoming damaged. Bad habits can also cause you to have straight teeth with poor oral health. There are a few things that you can do to ensure you have positive and successful orthodontics.

Food Choices

Some foods should be avoided while undergoing treatments like braces because they can damage the appliance. Sticky foods, such as candies, can stick into the hard to reach areas of your braces and increase the possibility of dental decay. It also helps to avoid drinks high in sugar. Your orthodontist will also advise you to eliminate hard, sticky, and crunchy foods from your diet. These foods can bend and break the wires that are keeping the tension on your teeth.

Ice cubes and other hard objects such as pencils and fingernails can also severely damage braces. Popcorn is another no-no. This snack and its husks can get stuck in your gum line, get stuck under the braces, and the unpopped kernels can break off the braces or become wedged between the braces. Foods high in citric acid such as lemons can dissolve your teeth's weakened enamel

Dental Care

Brushing with a soft bristled toothbrush multiple times per day is vital to keeping the braces and your teeth clean and free from decay and gum disease. Flossing will take more time, but it is necessary once the orthodontics have been placed on your teeth. Using a Waterpik before brushing and flossing will give you the best results.

Although adjustments can be uncomfortable, they ensure you get good results. You need to go to all of your appointments so the state of your teeth and braces can be checked and treated if they need it. If you miss appointments, you might have to live with your braces longer than originally planned. If you notice your braces have broken between visits, it is important to go in as soon as possible to have them fixed.

Personal Habits To Avoid

Although some bad habits are not good for anyone, they are particularly bad for those with braces. Your orthodontist will tell you not to bite on your fingernails or lips. It is also extremely destructive to chew on hard objects like pencils or to rip things open with your teeth, such as plastic packages. Lastly, pushing on your teeth with your tongue can actually force your teeth to move out of alignment and may bend your orthodontics.

Tips For Easing Discomfort

Many people find that using wax on braces helps to smooth out any sharp edges on your orthodontics that make it uncomfortable or that might even cut your tongue. Using a toothbrush without toothpaste to massage your teeth and gums has also shown to provide some relief from the discomfort of braces and gets your teeth exceptionally clean. Many orthodontists recommend doing this for a half hour each evening.

Whether you have them put on in Boston or Long Island, orthodontics appliances such as braces are a great way to straighten your teeth. Unfortunately, they need a little help from the wearer in order to be successful. While these things might seem insignificant, they will help your orthodontists to provide you with a straight, healthy smile.

Wedge Pillows

Pillows are made in many special ways to ensure comfort for all people engaged in different activities. This is because the manufactures of these pillows know just too well the dangers that can result from wrong body posture or positioning. In this regard therefore there is a type of a pillow called the wedge pillow that is specially designed for pregnant mothers.

It aims at improving the sleep patterns that are associated with the changes that are taking place in the mother's body a a result of the developments that are taking place in her body. During the last trimester for example, most mothers-to-be find it quite challenging to sleep on their backs because of the poor blood flow and they have difficulties breathing. Sleeping on the stomach is purely out of question and thus you find that they have only a limited number of comfortable positions, thanks to the large dimensions of the belly.

A wedge pillow is designed in a way such that it has two parts, one of which supports the belly in a side ways position and the other is is created for the comfort of the the lower back area by reducing the pressure around the coccyx bones. One interesting thing to note about the pillow is that it allows for adjustment of its size with much ease, whether on the bed or on the floor, depending on the size of the belly.

The wedge pillow also allows you the comfort of elevating your legs to a comfortable position as you relax. Note that the use of this pillow does not end at birth because you can use it with the baby too for its correct positioning. Wash it with the necessary disinfectants and detergents to keep your baby from allergic reactions.

Ubtan - World's First Known Cosmetic

To look beautiful has been an obsession with men and women alike throughout the ages but it differs from one land to another and also according to the time and mode of living. The desire of looking enchantingly beautiful laid the foundation of world's first known natural cosmetic - 'Ubtan', initially started as a ritual in India. The ritual of 'Ubtan', also known as 'Battne di Rasam' in Punjabi, and 'Kappumanjal' in Tamil is one of the vital components of the concept of 'Solah-Shringaar' (Sixteen ways of beautification of body). 'Ubtan' is a body application used for the beautification of the body, dating back to the remotest antiquity and is the legacy of the rich Indian Heritage.

It is believed that during Vedic era, it was being prescribed by the Vedic Physicians for the protection, nourishment & beautification of the skin. The apparent results obtained with the application of 'Ubtan' gave it a wide-spread publicity by which perhaps it became a fashionable routine for men & women, those days, to apply it for the beautification of skin and later on established its credence as a ritual for brides & bridegrooms before marriage.

'Ubtan' which is used to bring a enchanting look to the skin, is the paste-mixture of turmeric, saffron, san¬dalwood, bengal-gram, and seeds of yellow mustard, mustard oil and water, is applied by the brides & bridegrooms while reciting 'Ved Mantras' or traditional folk songs, as an important ritual of marriages in India. This paste is prepared in various ways to make the skin fair and to nourish it from within. On the occasion of social and religious festivals, preparation of 'Ubtan' itself is a fairly enjoyable task for ladies in India. The paste is applied to the whole body for 25 to 30 minutes thereafter scrubbed before taking the customary bath. It helps to improve and tighten sagging skin and keeps the skin glowing for a long time. Earlier it was also customary to make special cosmetics for ladies of high rank and social classes, by adding several other aromatic herbs, yoghurt, milk cream, honey and essence of flowers. Various other ingredients are also added like petals of rose and jasmine, Khus-Khus, drop of lemon juice and other herbs to get a unique beautifying lotion.

'Ubtan' is a a powerful exfoliating treatment that stimulates the underlying tissues of the skin. Upon scientific researches of its ingredients, it has been found that the 'Ubtan' not only enhances beauty, but also possesses definite medicinal values by virtue of its antifungal, antibacterial, antiperspirant, deodorant & skin-toning properties, thereby ruling out the possibilities of skin infections. It serves the multi¬purpose role of cleanser, astringent, stimulant, and skin-tonic all at the same time. By its revitalising, refreshing & refining actions, 'Ubtan' helps in the glowing of complexion and making it appear luscious. It also gives protection from various skin problems including acne, pimples, blemishes, white patches, freckles, blackheads, etc. Its regular usage prevents the occurrence of premature wrinkles, removes scars, & helps to lighten the open pores. The natural ingredients of 'Ubtan' build up flabby and drooping tissues, improve blood circulation & skin texture, provide anti-aging, anti-wrinkle, anti-rash, anti-blemishing, anti-bacterial, anti-tanning effects to the skin and nourish it.

As a beauty aid, Curcumin - the alkaloidal content of the main ingredient of Ubtan, Turmeric prevents and cures pigmentation, maintains the PH balance and makes the skin glow. Santalol in Sandal¬wood helps in inhibiting the growth of micro-organisms and preventing skin infections. The woody fibre & Vitamin C in Bengal gram open the blocked pores, maintain the secretions from glands and bleach the sun freckles. Due to its Sandalwood contents, 'Ubtan' acts as an astringent and helps to tighten the pores. The crocetin contents of Saffron add to the lustre of the skin and make it glow. The rough nature of Bengal gram powder cleanses it by removing the dead infected parts of the skin. It is also used to promote healing of the cracked & inflamed skin.

The glowing glory and the amazing pharmaco-kinetics of 'Ubtan'? Were our ancestors really aware of them? It seems they really were. Hats off to them!

Foods That Will Make Your Underactive Thyroid Symptoms Worse

Are you suffering from underactive thyroid symptoms? If so, there are certain foods that you should do your best to avoid because they can actually make your condition worse. Here is a list of the top 10 foods to avoid if you have any underactive thyroid symptoms.

1. White breads - This food makes it hard for the body to regulate insulin and also disrupts hormonal balance within the body.

2. Caffeine - We all love caffeine, most of us have it on a daily basis in coffee or sodas. However, caffeine depresses thyroid function and will only make your underactive thyroid symptoms worse. Even though caffeine is a stimulant, it is no good for stimulating your thyroid.

3. Broccoli - We all assume that we should be eating our vegetables, but this is one you will want to stay away from. This is because broccoli is considered a goitrogenic food. That means that consuming too much broccoli can increase the likelihood that you'll develop a goiter somewhere on your body.

This would be due to decreased thyroid hormone production. In addition, the entire family of goitrogenic foods can nullify the effects of some thyroid medicines, so keep this in mind.

4. Peaches - also considered a goitrogenic food, be sure to add this food to the list of ones that can possibly cause a goiter to form due to your thyroid's hormone production being decreased.

5. Peanuts - yes, they are salty, crunchy and delicious, but they aren't the best snack choice for someone with an underactive thyroid symptom, as they interfere with the production of thyroid hormones.

6. Fluoride - this is found in toothpaste and drinking water that comes from the tap. Fluoride essentially blocks iodine receptors in the thyroid gland which causes reduced iodine-containing hormone production.

7. Chlorine - not only for pools, it is found in pretty much everyone's drinking water that comes directly from the tap. Chlorine and iodine are chemically related.

Like fluoride, chlorine also blocks iodine receptors in the thyroid gland, causing reduced iodine-containing hormone production. So, drink plenty of distilled or purified water for essential and proper bodily functions, just not from the tap.

8. Soy - soybeans are off limits, as they have an anti-nutrient that contains a chemical that reacts with iodine. Since iodine is critical to make the thyroid hormone, this food should be avoided if you have an underactive thyroid symptom. Soymilk, soy flour, and tofu are also foods to add to the do not eat list.

9. Garlic - it may keep people away and it's great in spaghetti sauce. However, garlic also reduces iodine uptake in the body.

10. White flour - in the same family as white breads, this is a food that can, for some people, contribute to difficulties with insulin resistance and hormonal problems. White flour is a refined and over-processed food and has very little, if any, nutritional value at all.

Any underactive thyroid symptoms can be controlled by eating lightly, but regularly throughout the day. Eat about every four hours to keep the metabolism moving and your body's functions working properly. Taking an herbal thyroid remedy can really help as well.

Can't Get Rid of My Tonsil Stones by Picking at Them

If you have had tonsil stones at any given time and you can't get rid of them by picking at them it is important to note that there are other efficient techniques. Having tonsil stones or tonsilloliths as they are called in medical terms can be a very uncomfortable and annoying problem.

If you have had tonsilloliths you know how bad they can be. One day you feel something different in the back of your throat. Maybe you start probing with your tongue and feel something rough stuck in the back of your throat. You think it is a piece of food that got stuck and somehow will not come off.

As you kept trying to push it off you manage to get it loose. As it comes out you get a very awful and bitter taste in your mouth. Your instinct is to take it out with your finger and bring it up to your nose and smell it. The unmistakable smell of sulfur is gross in the tonsilloliths. Why do they smell so bad? What could they be made of and should I worry?

Tonsilloliths are nothing to worry about from a health perspective. They are not a sign of a serious illness or chunks of flesh from your throat coming off. They are simply calcified pieces composed of dead white blood cells, oral bacteria, mucous, food residue and postnasal drip. When these combine and accumulate in the indentations of the tonsils they harden and become tonsilloliths.

Picking at tonsilloliths is sometimes not the most effective method to remove them. One method of removal is using the tongue to push them off until they come off. Pushing the tonsil upwards with your fingers and causing pressure to make them come off is effective as well. A more effective and longer lasting solution is gargling with baking soda. The baking soda will loosen tonsilloliths and they will begin to come out. Gargling regularly will help with keeping them away for some time.

Does Getting Orthodontic Braces Hurt?

Does getting orthodontic braces hurt is a question that crosses many teens minds, but rarely gets asked out of fear of knowing. But the reality is that when an orthodontist places braces (brackets) on teeth, the process is relatively quick and completely painless.

The process of cementing orthodontic brackets onto teeth is a well mapped out appointment as the orthodontist has already worked the treatment case on study models to establish exact bracket position. Some orthodontists even create a template that is placed on the teeth that shows where the orthodontic bracket is to be cemented. This precision of placement is the first step in creating a successful treatment plan.

The cementation of brackets and placement of orthodontic wire will take your orthodontist approximately two hours, but during this time there is no discomfort as this non invasive procedure involves applying cement to the tooth surface, placing the bracket and then curing the cement. Even placing the wire, that will move your teeth in to correct position, is a painless procedure. A light gauge wire is initially used so that your teeth, gums and bone can adjust to this gentle pressure.

Light pressure is often the description patients use to describe the feeling of teeth moving. Pain and discomfort are not words that are often used by patients as today orthodontic technology focuses on reducing the inflammation caused by tooth movement, thereby reducing mouth discomfort.

So what can cause some minor discomfort in the first week of wearing orthodontic braces? Well the fact that you have brackets on your teeth will mean the inside of your cheeks and lips may be slightly tender in the first few days. But applying some orthodontic wax to specific areas will prevent cheek and lip tenderness; and your orthodontic team will probably supply plenty of wax for you to keep soreness to a minimum.

If you're used to eating sticky, chewy food you're going to have to make different choices, as orthodontic braces require soft, non sticky food to be eaten to avoid being pulled off. Not being able to eat your usual toffee may be annoying to you but by avoiding it during orthodontic treatment will ensure brackets stay in place and wires don't get pulled out.

Your orthodontic team will give you special instructions to follow while wearing your braces. Everything from how to handle a pokey wire (wax) to the correct way to brush and floss. Getting orthodontic braces is an exciting time and shouldn't be overshadowed by misinformation regarding pain. Once you've had your braces on for a week you'll forget they're there and you'll only be thinking about your new smile.

Cory Liss Orthodontics takes special interest in providing orthodontic treatment that decreases discomfort and treatment time and is excited to offer the SureSmile and Damon orthodontic systems.

Ceramic Orthodontic Braces

As a result of the technological advancement attained in the area of orthodontics, dental abnormalities can be now corrected without using metal braces. With the help of ceramic orthodontic braces you can have a charming smile by eliminating all abnormalities of your teeth.

The Ideal Corrective Measure for Tooth Abnormalities

Dental brackets, also referred to as orthodontic brackets, can be effectively used to resolve almost all the abnormalities of your teeth. Apart from straightening the teeth, ceramic orthodontic braces can rectify all the irregularities associated with malocclusions which include problems such as crossbites, overbites and underbites. These can also be used to align overcrowded, twisted and widely spaced teeth.

These brackets are strong and less visible and appear more natural than metal braces. Therefore these brackets are mainly chosen by adults and teenagers for straightening the teeth. The tiny wires or ligatures that hold the arch wire on to the ceramic brackets are white or clear. Since these ligatures are prone to stain, they have to be changed, usually on a monthly basis.

Ceramic Orthodontic Braces versus Other Types of Braces

The major advantage of using clear ceramic brackets is that they blend in with most teeth. The overall expenses involved in the treatment using ceramic brackets are slightly higher compared to that associated with conventional stainless steel braces treatment. However, these brackets are considered the right choice by numerous individuals who don't prefer to wear metal braces and Invisalign.

Consult with an Expert Orthodontist

If you wish to improve your smile through straightening your teeth using ceramic orthodontic braces, consult an expert orthodontist. It is also necessary to talk to the orthodontist about your requirements and the results you expect from treatment. This enables the orthodontist to choose the appropriate treatment plan that would ensure remarkable results.

Porcelain Veneers

If you are unhappy with the appearance of your teeth, porcelain veneers can solve many problems with one solution. Perfectly fitted to each tooth, they are a very thin, but very strong shell of porcelain that is bonded to the front of your teeth, covering imperfections and protecting your teeth. Porcelain veneers look and feel like your natural teeth.

Porcelain is translucent and reflects light in the same way as natural tooth enamel. The color is perfectly matched to your natural tooth color. Its glass-like quality makes it resistant to staining, and when bonded to your natural teeth it is very strong. Unlike with older "tooth-colored" materials, porcelain veneers do not become stained or dull over time, the result is a smile that looks natural, alive, and beautiful. In addition to enhancing the beauty of your smile today, porcelain veneers can serve as a protective covering for teeth with poor enamel, preventing future damage.

Porcelain veneers can correct the appearance of many dental flaws including:

· Chips

· Cracks

· Gaps

· Discoloration

· Tooth erosion

· Short teeth

· Broken teeth

· Crooked teeth

· Misshapen teeth

The great thing about veneers is that they can solve multiple problems at once, removing the need for multiple procedures and solutions. For instance, if you have teeth that are cracked, crooked, and discolored, porcelain veneers can replace bonding, whitening, and straightening, all at once. Or, if one problem affects several teeth, such as chipped teeth, porcelain veneers can be used in place of repairing each tooth individually.

Crooked teeth can be straightened, even in adults, with traditional or invisible braces. Both require time and commitment on your part, and can be painful. Porcelain veneers can be used in place of braces to correct the appearance of crooked teeth in one office visit, without the pain. In the process, any other imperfections which would normally be addressed after straightening are also covered, such as discoloration or misshapen teeth.

Porcelain veneers can be used alone or in combination with other procedures. You may choose veneers as a part of a complete smile makeover.

Creating beautiful, porcelain veneers which are strong, and look, feel, and function like your natural teeth means creating a perfect color match and a perfect fit. The best cosmetic dentists use the most up to date methods and technology to create more than just beautiful smiles, but real dental solutions which improve dental function and health while at the same time creating the most aesthetically pleasing results. The Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI) is the world's premier post-graduate dental teaching center. Leading cosmetic dentists from all over the world attend LVI to learn the most advanced techniques in cosmetic dentistry.

Pulmonary hypertension is treated using medicines like Tapyadi-Loh, Punarnavadi-Qadha, Shrung-Bhasma, Laxadi-Guggulu, Laxmi-Vilas-Ras and Bruhat-Vat-Chintamani.

In addition, other medicines need to be given to improve the immune status of the body and prevent multiple organ and system involvement in this disease. For this purpose, medicines like Suvarna-Malini-Vasant, Suvarna-Parpati, Bruhat-Vat-Chintamani and Maha-Laxmi-Vilas-Ras are used. Herbal medicines like Shatavari (Asparagus racemosus), Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera), Bala (Sida cordifolia) and Naagbala (Grewia hirsuta) can also be used for this purpose. A regular massage of the entire body using very fine powders of Manjishtha, Yashtimadhuk and Mandukparni can also help considerably to treat or prevent multi-system involvement in MCTD.

Patients affected with MCTD should adopt a healthy lifestyle and appropriate relaxation techniques in order to prevent or delay complications from this disease. All patients affected with MCTD should be under the regular care and supervision of a Rheumatologist.

Self-Pleasure For Men - A New Way to Explore Yourself and Benefit You and Your Partner

Men don't like to discuss masturbation. Self-pleasure I still surrounded in puerile humour and unfortunately this has stunted men's view of self-love. This is a real shame as it is stopping men from having a lot of fun not only with themselves but also hampering them in a bedroom with their partner.

If a man was to be more open and aware to experimentation to which masturbation has to be a vital part then guys all around the world could start to have so much more fun in the bedroom or where ever they choose to make love. It is through masturbation that men can find out what they like and then pass that on to a partner who can use that information to make sex much more enjoyable. This benefits both people within the relationship because even the partner will get so much enjoyment themselves seeing their partner having an erotic experience.

There are many ways to use self-pleasure to find more about you. The first thing to remember men is to give yourself some alone time and to make sure you are comfortable and that you are no going to be distracted. It is not a question about a quick tug and then thank you very much. The longer you hold out and tease yourself the better the resulting orgasm will be.

A quick and easy method is to masturbate as normal but as you feel that you are getting close to the point of climax stop count to thirty and then start again. If you repeat this process five times before then finally letting yourself orgasm it will really be a fantastic experience and the orgasm will be ten times better. The added bonus of this method is that for those who struggle with premature ejaculation or have trouble keeping an erection will find that this method will help with both problems over time. It is a question of training you guys. This method can be used by a partner who can tease you and add in dirty talk to really set the mood and make you gasp.

Golf Buddy Golf GPS Review

With the use of GPS (Global Positioning System) for use in golf now becoming more and more popular I thought a Golf Buddy Golf GPS review might be useful.

There are three different models of Golf Buddy Golf GPS and I will review them all in this article.

The three Golf Buddy models are:

Golf Buddy Plus Golf Buddy Pro and Golf Buddy Tour.
Golf Buddy Plus. The golf buddy plus is the original model and has proved very popular with golfers, for good reason, as we are about to find out.

The first thing to note is that it is not compatible with MAC computers so you will need Windows 2000, Windows XP or Vista.

Once you have unpacked your Buddy it is ready to go straight to work. You don't have to load anything. Simply switch it on and head for the golf course. The unit will automatically find the course and hole you are on. That's pretty neat.

In the unlikely event that your course is not already mapped you have two options:

You can map it yourself or Ask the client support to do it for you.

Once you have mapped your own course it needs to be referred back to Golf Buddy headquarters for loading. This will take a few days and is one of the ways that the library of courses available is expanding. The current library consists of over 20,000 courses.

So you're on the first tee and Buddy is merrily humming away having locked in on any number of up to 12 satellites. You're ready to play but there is a bunker out on the right of the fairway. According to Buddy it is 192 yards from where you are to the front of the bunker and 203 yards to carry it. Select your club accordingly. How cool is that?

And so the game goes on with you being able to add as many as 11 points to any one hole in addition to the points already mapped by Golf Buddy.

You may find that the distance markers on the sprinkler heads do not correspond with what your Buddy is telling you. That's not surprising but I suggest you believe your new Buddy - you'll soon find out how accurate it really is. Sprinkler head distances could have been measured and marked by any number of methods and, in most cases, cannot be relied on for accuracy.

As you go along try the shot distance feature. Press a button, play your shot and proceed to where your ball has landed. Press the button again and you will know exactly how far you just hit the last shot. The shot distance feature is a great way to learn exactly how far you hit each club in your bag. But be warned that it can be humbling. Yours truly discovered that he doesn't hit the ball quite as far as he thought - a possible explanation as to why I often came up short on my approach shots.

I didn't have this problem with the Buddy Plus in my hand. Not only do I know how far I am hitting my clubs but I am automatically updated with the remaining distance to the green or other targets.

You'll find the grey scale screen easy to read under all lighting conditions - even on a bright day. For those overcast days and twilight finishes there is the back light facility.

One of the coolest features of the Buddy Plus is the dynamic green feature. We don't always approach the green from directly in front and for those times when you are coming at it from the wrong angle the Buddy Plus automatically changes the shape of the green to your angle of approach.

Another neat feature of the Buddy Plus is the score tracking. Simply enter your scores as you play each hole and then write them down later for submitting or reflecting on the game. No more soggy score cards on those rainy days!

The unit will store up to 1,000 past scores.

The Golf Buddy Plus can easily be operated with one hand and is a pleasure to use.

Some of the technical stuff you should know:

It is light and fits comfortably in your pocket. Weighing in at 3 ounces and measuring 3.2 inches by 2.1 by 1.0. The power source is a built in lithium battery which will give you ten hours of use. That is enough for two full rounds of gold. To be on the safe side I keep mine fully charged. Once you have purchased your Golf Buddy Plus there are no additional fees. There is no annual membership fee and course downloads are free. You will never run out of courses on your unit as it stores up to one thousand. It is multi lingual with a wide range of language options available.
Golf Buddy Tour. The big brother of the Buddy Plus has exactly the same functions but being bigger has a bigger memory and stores up to 20,000 courses.

It has a color screen which is bigger than its little brother making it even easier to read.

The big advantage of the Buddy Tour is that battery power can be backed up with 2 A A A batteries - so you should never run out of power.

Golf Buddy Pro. This model is identical to the Tour model except that it has a grey screen. The Golf Buddy Pro is proving to be very popular with golf GPS users. Its easy to see why with it great looks and sturdy construction having one of these in your hands makes you feel like owning one.

All of the Buddy models are very reliable, water resistant and sturdy.

To top it off all models are good lookers and as an owner of one you will be the envy of your mates.

If you are in the market for a golf GPS you could do a lot worse than buying one of the Golf Buddy range and I trust this Golf Buddy Golf GPS review has given you some indication of the functionality of these models. Buy one today and start having some fun on the golf course.

GAAP Vs IFRS Similarities and Differences

As the U.S. market is increasingly going global, with capital providers from other countries, and also many investment opportunities abroad. There is a need for one set of accounting standards for all the companies in this growing global economy. One set of standards would allow companies and individuals to compare financial statements of companies located all over the world. There are two main sets of accounting standards I will focus on. There is US G.A.A.P. the acronym for the (generally accepted accounting principals), and IFRS an acronym for (international financial reporting standards). IFRS is the accounting standard in over 100 countries globally. To help US companies enter the global market, the SEC has to decide to adopt IFRS or to converge GAAP and IFRS. There are many similarities between GAAP and IFRS, and my paper will focus on some of these similarities and differences.

When it comes to financial statements there are many similarities between US GAAP and IFRS, which is a good thing, when converted or adopted financial statements will be pretty much the same for US and international accountants. Under both standards a complete set of financial statements include a balance sheet, an income statement and some sort of statement pertain to non operating incomes and expenses. When preparing these statements, both GAAP and IFRS require them prepared in the accrual basis (expenses and revenues are reported in the period they are incurred) as opposed to the cash basis. Both GAAP and IFRS require companies use the same policies of accounting that they did in the prior year, un less they disclose in their statement any new policies. Also companies are not required to prepare interim reports.

When dealing with inventory both IFRS and GAPP use cost as the basic accounting principal. Both standards have the same definition for inventory. Inventory is assets held for sale in the ordinary course of business or to be consumed in the production of goods or services. Both standards allow different cost method approach like standard cost method and retail method. Also under both standards costs of inventory includes direst materials, direct labor, and overhead, while selling costs and general administrative costs are not included.

There are also some key differences in inventory costing methods. With US GAAP the last in first out or "LIFO" method is an acceptable method, under IFRS it is not. Under IFRS the same cost formula must be applied to all inventories. With GAAP inventory is valued at lower cost or market cost. While under IFRS inventory can also be carried at lower of cost, or it can be priced at net realizable cost. Under GAAP inventories can't be written-down, under IFRS inventories are allowed to be written down under pre-determined circumstances.

The definition of long lived assets is similar under both US GAAP and IFRS. They both roughly define long lived assets as tangible assets held for use, to be used for more than one accounting period. Long lived assets are depreciated in GAAP and IFRS

Both GAAP and IFRS have a section for extraordinary items listed on the income statement. Extra ordinary items are material gains or losses that are both unusual and infrequent and not part of a company's continuing operations. Extraordinary items can vary by industry and region. With GAAP these extraordinary items are separately listed, while IFRS puts them with all the other gains and losses included with operations.

Property plant and equipment is treated similarly under GAAP and IFRS but not exactly the same. Both of their definitions state that property plant and equipment as a tangible asset, held for the use of producing or storing goods, or for rental to others, or for administrative purposes. They are expected to be used for more than one accounting period. They both value these assets at their initial cost and can use the same deprecation methods. Under GAAP the historic cost principal is applied, the value of these assets remains the same over their life. On the other hand with IRFS these assets can be re valued at year end if there is a material change in market cost. When the assets value is changed under IFRS the deprecation will have to be recalculated with the new value of the asset.

There are many obstacles to overcome to merge GAAP and IFRS or to just simply adopt IFRS, but it needs to be done. The differences create barriers to do international business. The inability to accurately compare and analyze financials of companies that use US GAAP and those who use IFRS slows down globalization. Investors and individuals will not seek to do business internationally, that is why one set of uniform standards is needed.

Dentists: Specializing in Orthodontics

Dentists are medical professionals who deal with oral health care. Dentistry is a branch of medicine that focuses mainly on the oral cavity and the many problems that plague it. Among these is the problem that is addressed by orthodontics. Orthodontics is a specialty in dentistry that includes but is not limited to the study and the treatment of improper bites. A bite is the way that the teeth and the jaw settle when the oral cavity is closed. Improper bites, otherwise known as malocclusions can be corrected by orthodontists. This field of dentistry can be done for the reason of aesthetics and can also be performed to return the function of the oral cavity. In many cases, the goal of the patient and the dentists is to achieve a better looking smile.

Initially, patients are brought to the oral health care provider for a consultation and assessment. He will then recommend a treatment that is most suitable for the patient. There are factors that can influence the diagnosis of the professional ad these includes, but is not limited to, the age of the patient and the form of the patient's jaw or bite.
The Basic Concept

The basic premise of this field is to utilize wires and other materials to help with the correction process. These wires, also called juste, are placed or threaded into brackets which are attached to the teeth. The pressure that the wires put on the brackets by tightening the wires allows the teeth to move gradually into their right position. This is the basic concept of the more common brace that many children go through during early puberty. The wires are tightened every few weeks in order to guide the teeth accordingly. Dentists who specialize in this field of dentistry also use other means to correct and teat malocclusions. These appliances come in many different forms. Expansions, headgears and plates can also be used by the oral health care provider to realign the jaw and the teeth.

Reconstructive dentistry is also another aim that these professionals can do. Many children and even adults have dental problems that extend far more than just malocclusions or crooked pearly whites. In some cases, reconstructing the jaw is another task that falls on these professionals. Some younger children can use appliances that guide their teeth as they grow. These appliances are made from a firm material that is shaped to conform to the child's jaw. These have spaces where the teeth are supposed to go and these spaces guide the teeth accordingly. There is a limit as to when and how long this kind of device can be applicable. Dentists always ask the patients and their parents (for children) to come back for regular checkups in order for him or her to assess the progress of the individual.

The use of braces and other dental appliances was often dreaded by patients, especially the younger generation. Dentists who specialize in orthodontics have made some changes to the way that these appliances are used to minimize the dread that children often feel when wearing them.

Does Teeth Bleaching Hurt?

The media is chock filled with guys and gals with dazzling smiles. Their gleaming white teeth may appear unearthly and oddly reminiscent of a "decorators white" paint job. There is no need to be jealous the next time you see the pearly whites of your favorite star as with a little bit of spare cash, the help of well-skilled dentist and a small tolerance for pain, you too can be fabulous!

Professional tooth whitening has becoming increasingly popular. The American Dental Association recently conducted a survey that showed that most of the respondents ranked their smile as their top physical feature. An engaging smile not only ensures a positive first impression, but also can also be worth its weight in gold (or even gold fillings)!

The process of teeth whitening has become more advanced over the years and typically the procedure involves a dentist applying the right amount of tooth whitening agent and light pulse technology. Patients should follow some important steps to get the most out of the treatment:

Patients need to get their teeth professionally cleaned and examined prior to starting the tooth bleaching process. After a cleaning and determining any additional dental care that may be required the bleaching can commence The treatment combines chemical components with laser light pulses. There are many brand name procedures offered by dental care professionals. Regardless of what it is called, those who want their brightest smile need the combo of the two for the best results. The entire whitening procedure takes about an hour or two. During that time, a patient will undergo a minimum of two rounds of the chemical and light treatment. A skilled dentist will only proceed to the third and final light blast after a patient indicates they can tolerate the procedure. It is this final combo blast that can make the teeth feel incredibly sensitive and painful for up to 48 hours. After the whitening process, your dentist will advise you to avoid foods and beverages that may stain your teeth (I.E. red wine, coffee, tomato based sauces). You should also foods that are extremely hot or cold as your mouth will be sensitive. Sometimes bonding, fillings and other procedures are required to ensure a mouth is in tiptop shape. It is important to get all the work done after your bleaching treatment so your dentist can match the color of whatever you need to your newly brightened enamel.

Yes, there is some pain involved with the tooth bleaching procedure. However, once a couple of days have passed, you will be grateful for the results and be back to normal.

Before even beginning the process, candidates should price the procedure to ensure that they can afford the cosmetic dentistry. Consumers should feel free to try to negotiate a deal with your dentist who may offer a lower price for cash payments or may even offer you financing deal.

Orthodontic Appliances Developed For Adults

Nowadays, orthodontic appliances are becoming more and more popular among adults, since many of them are now showing great interest about ways to preserve their healthy teeth. In addition, many adults now know about the fact that orthodontic treatments will be able to provide them with better smile.

Today, there are several treatment procedures that are used in order to correct the irregularities of the teeth among adults. Among these treatments include fixed braces, lingual appliances and Invisalign. For some severe cases of teeth misalignment, painless surgical procedures are commonly used.

Fixed braces are among the commonly used treatments for misaligned teeth. They are square-shaped individual brackets which are placed on every tooth and there are metal rings attached at the back of the teeth. These metal rings and square-shaped brackets are joined together using fine wire. If you get this treatment, you need to wear it for about six to eighteen months. You also have to go to an orthodontic clinic on a monthly basis for consultation.

Lingual appliances are also used by orthodontists for correcting teeth irregularities. This treatment is commonly placed within the mouth of the patient. Usually, an orthodontist would need to apply surgery for this type of treatment. Nevertheless, this type of treatment is only done if the orthodontic problems are more complex and if simpler methods don't work.

Another treatment used by orthodontic specialists is Invisalign, which is considered by many to be a better substitute for traditional metal braces. One of the many advantages of wearing this aligner is that it is practically invisible, which means it will be hard for anyone to notice that you are wearing them. This unique method is commonly done using brackets and wires. It also makes use of transparent plastic aligners.

These orthodontic aligners are made using a three dimensional computer imaging technology. And based on the bite impressions of the patient, an orthodontist can create a perfect solution to the patient's orthodontic problems. Invisalign allows for slow moving of the patient's teeth into proper positions and they need to be change every two weeks.

Another benefit of Invisalign is that they can be removed so that the user can eat food without feeling any type of discomfort. This removability also allows for the user to maintain good oral hygiene. Unlike metal braces, Invisalign needs to be worn for about 12 months. But, it also requires monthly consultation with the orthodontist to be more effective.

2 Signs of Sexual Interest - How to Spot Sexual Body Language (Especially in WOMEN!)

How easily are you able to spot sexual interest in body language? Do you find it easy to notice when a woman wants to take you to bed? It's amazing how many MEN are not able to notice the simple, sultry but VERY sexy signs a woman is interested in sex...and walk away from otherwise very sure things! Think you may be one of them? Let's take a look at 2 very sexy signs she wants to take you to bed. (no joke..:-)

Filed Under: The MAGIC of Mimicking

One of the very best signs of sexual interest in mimicking. This is when another person tries to match.....or mimic your movements in conversation. This is often a signal of agreement, or of being "on board" with what you are saying in a workplace or natural negotiation. But when it takes place during a romantic conversation.....or between new friends of the opposite sex, it can be a little amorous "dance" meant to emulate (subconsciously) the sexual movements that BOTH sides are thinking of. When a woman does this....it's a great sign you should push forward with more intimate conversation, as she definitely wants to know (and see..:-) more of you!

Filed Under: The Passion of Positioning

How a woman stands, from a body positioning standpoint is often a critical sign of sexual interest during conversation. For example, a woman who points her toes OUTWARD, and away from her body is showing signs of intimate interest. (some argue it's an "evolutionary" subconscious sign that she's "opening" her hips) A heaving breast or arched back is another VERY sultry sign she's sexually interested...and often a very easy one to read as well! (you'll notice this often in nightclub or bar environments, especially where people find themselves standing very close in conversation)

The key to ALL non verbal communication is the POWER of intimate observation

Pay attention to the things they say when they aren't saying a thing at all..:-) (as you'll often find the most compelling conversation is taking place without words!)
